The Science Behind Sheer Physical

The Difference Between UVA + UVB Rays

Protection from UV radiation is an essential step in maintaining skin health. Two types of UV rays, ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB), penetrate the atmosphere and can accelerate visible signs of aging and increase the risk of skin cancer.

UVA rays are associated with accelerated aging and can penetrate through windows and clouds.

UVB rays cause sunburn by damaging the epidermis, causing redness, blistering, while increasing the risk of cancer.

To decrease the risk of the damage from rays, apply Sheer Physical UV Defense daily.

Boost Environmental Protection

To protect skin from environmental aggressors, always pair Sheer Physical UV Defense with an antioxidant. Together, antioxidant protection and a broad-spectrum sunscreen synergistically work to heal damage caused by free radicals while preventing new damage from forming.
